Creating an account
Choose Create Account and enter your full name, an email address you use, and a password. You can also add your institution and country. Agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy to continue.
Use 12–128 characters, including an uppercase letter (A–Z), a lowercase letter (a–z), and a number. Your account opens as an Author. Follow the confirmation link in your email to verify your address.
What role will I have?
Every new account starts as an Author. Reviewer and Editor are assigned through a review invitation or an editorial appointment; they are not options on the registration form. One account can hold more than one role.
Use the role switcher in your dashboard to move between your assigned roles. If an expected role is missing, contact the relevant journal’s editorial office. To submit an article, open its journal page and choose Submit Article.
Registering with ORCID
Choose Continue with ORCID iD on the registration screen. ORCID confirms your researcher identifier and fills in the public details available on your record. Review the imported details, add your email if it is missing, and set a YTUP password.
- 1Create your YTUP account. Review the imported details and complete registration.
- 2Verify your email. Open the confirmation link and choose Confirm this address.
- 3Finish connecting ORCID. In your profile, select this button to enable ORCID sign-in.
Already have an account? Sign in to that account and connect ORCID from your profile. Email verification alone does not connect an ORCID iD. Your ORCID password is never shared with YTUP.
Troubleshooting
Answers to common registration and sign-in questions.
My password is rejected.
Use 12–128 characters with at least one uppercase letter (A–Z), one lowercase letter (a–z), and a number. Read the message under the highlighted field. Passwords longer than 128 characters are rejected rather than shortened.
I forgot my password.
Open Forgot password and enter the email address for your account. Check your inbox and spam folder for the reset instructions. Do not create a second account to recover access.
My email address is already registered.
Use Sign In with that address, or reset your password. Keeping one account preserves your submission history and editorial assignments.
I have not received a confirmation email.
Check the address you entered and your spam folder. While signed in, open Manage Accounts to review your email addresses and request a new confirmation link. If it still does not arrive, contact the editorial office.
ORCID is verified, but ORCID sign-in does not work.
After registration, verify your YTUP email and choose Finish connecting ORCID in your profile. The saved ORCID confirmation lasts up to one hour. If it expires, use Connect or create your ORCID iD again. For trouble signing in to ORCID itself, visit the ORCID Help Center.
I cannot see my reviewer or editor role.
Check that you signed in to the account used for the invitation or appointment. Ask the relevant journal editorial office to check your access.
